Explore local markets and workshops to find gifts, make something special, and soak up festive vibes.
I hope you’re ready to get out and about! This week is packed with holiday markets, crafting events and demos, and even opportunities to enjoy the outdoors despite the snow and chill.
I’ll keep things light so you can easily peek at the amazing creative events happening - whether you’re hunting for the perfect gift, feeling inspired to make something yourself, or just want to soak up some festive cheer.
Stay warm and take care as we navigate the coldest, snowiest storm of the week.

A year after her original essay on collapse awareness, Rosie reflects on how we can stay human in uncertain times by practicing care, connection, and generosity. It is a reminder that small, thoughtful acts of sharing skills, time, or creativity are gifts that matter even when the world feels overwhelming.

Love the scope here. The Fix-It Clinic and Community Mending Night listings are gold for anyone trying to actually extend the life of stuff rather than just recycling or buying new. The combo of skill-sharing events with the marketplace options shows how gift economy can actully work in practice. Only thing missing might be some transportation tips for geting to these scattered locations in winter weather.
